So you are about to move and you are looking at schools in the area to make sure that you are sending your kid to the best possible school. It looks nice, the kids seem well behaved, but yet there is nothing there that separates it from the rest academically. They are making you happy with all their big talk but what do you believe and what is real? These are serious questions and they need answering and here is how you go about it.

Find out what the parent involvement is like. If you want to know just how good of a school it is, find out what the parent involvement is like. If it’s high than it should move right up on your list of schools that you should consider taking your kid to. If it’s not a school with involved parents then you might want to consider someplace else. Parents are crucial to the education of children and you want your child to be surrounded by a product of that enthusiasm. If you are having trouble finding it at that school than you should consider going elsewhere.

Find out what the turnover and transfer rate in the school is. That really matters in the end. You are going to want your kid to be in an environment where there is stability. While some kids will have to come and go you don’t want a situation where there is too much movement. These are some odd ball questions that can really help you make up your mind.
